PENISTONE 10K – SUNDAY 19TH JUNE 2022

posted in: Race Reports | 0

Another Eccleshill runner completing back to back races this weekend was Daniel Jenkins – this time the Penistone 10k. Billed as an award winning race around the historic market town of Penistone, the race starts from Penistone Church Football Club (founded 1906), the runners then take a short loop through an estate, heading out towards the Pennine foothills along quiet back roads. The undulating course eventually takes a steep downhill to reach the Trans Pennine Trail for the last two and a half kilometres on a fast flat surface back to the Football Club. Conditions were challenging in today’s sunny weather but Dan finished in a fabulous time of 54:57 – well done on race two Dan!
