EPILEPSY ACTION BRADFORD 10K – SUNDAY, 18TH SEPTEMBER 2022

posted in: Race Reports | 0

A minutes silence to offer heartfelt condolences to the Royal family following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Marked the beginning of this year’s Bradford 10k. A cool but sunny, almost Autumnal morning made for ideal running conditions for this popular event on Bradford’s running calendar. Starting and finishing in the iconic surroundings of City Park, it has been rated in the top 20 UK running events. The fast, flat, chip timed route which is run on closed roads is enjoyed by all who take part, from seasoned regular’s to those taking on Epilepsy’s 10k for the first time. The out and back course snakes out f the City Centre before proceeding along Canal Road where runners about turn around Cragg Road and return back to the city centre to the rapturous applause of the waiting crowds. The race was first run in 2008 and almost 15,000 runners have crossed the finish line since then raising over half a million pounds for people living with epilepsy. Eccleshill’s running contingency today consisted of Daniel Jenkins 49:48, Katie Glossop 66:06 and Sarah Myers 58:19 and Vicky Cousins 56:34. Fantastic running everyone, well done!

Thank you to our Eccleshill Road Runners volunteer marshals today Brian, Linda, Claire and Garry. Also a shout out to our support crew dotted along the route, well done!
