WINTER WARMER 10K – SATURDAY 25TH FEBRUARY 2023

posted in: Race Reports | 0

Hosted by The Fix Events this event is multi distance with a choice of 5k, 10k or half marathon. Eccleshill’s Sarah Rawlings decided on the 10k distance. Billed as a hilly, multi lapped 5k course the challenging route throws a mix of uneven terrain, off road trails and some decent paths in there, the reward? 5k runners complete one lap, 10k 2 laps and the half consists of four laps. Fantastic scenery in and around the stunning grounds of Temple Newsam House. Proceeds from the race support the fabulous charity, Shelter. A new concept which is quickly catching on, runners earn themselves reward points for each £1 spent on race entry, these accumulated points can then be used as discount against future entries. A cold, crisp morning greeted runners at the picturesque Tudor-Jacobean house in Leeds, a little Winter sun made for pleasant conditions. All finishers were rewarded with a bespoke medal and post race goodies! Sarah romped home in a fabulous time of 59:59 – well done Sarah!
