This Sunday Dan Jenkin’s race fix comes in the form of this challenging trail half. Organised by Wild Deer Events. It’s billed as a magnificent venue with races starting and finishing with the backdrop of the Castle and River Aln and taking in the best parts of Hulne Park. NEW for 2023 is the Half Marathon (Dan’s choice) which ventures further into the Park. A Medal, Wild Deer Merchandise (Buff, hat, socks or water bottle) a snack and a drink are available for all finishers. There’s also the option to purchase an event T-shirt for £10. For this Event Wild Deer Events are working in association with the NE YOUTH CHARITY and £4 from each entry will go directly to them. NE Youth is one of the North East’s leading youth development charities supporting young people in the region. Their vision is to make sure all young people have the opportunities they deserve, and to get involved in their communities, enjoy their lives and achieve their potential. Achieving his potential Dan posted a magnificent time of 01:40:08 describing the course as brutal with a beast of a climb halfway round – about 3 Km’s + straight up!
