As the tentative return to racing continued, two more Eccleshill Road Runners were elated to be back out racing, Jayne Robinson and Claire Tailford ventured over to the beautiful village of Burnsall for this half marathon race which is the first race in the ‘Due North Race Series’, set at the beautiful riverside location. Taking in several sections of the Dales Way footpath with around 500m (wow!) of ascent. Climbs rewarded with breathtaking 360 degree views of the Yorkshire Dales. Riverside paths, stone tracks and open fields provided a great mix of terrain which race organisers boasted was suitable for those new to trail running but also provided plenty of challenges and interest for the more experienced trail runner with the added bonus of perfect weather conditions for being in the stunning countryside.
