Hosted by Libra Races, the Run A Way 10k is a unique Halloween 10k event run at night under the runway lights at Doncaster Airport, billed as a one-off opportunity to run the (near) length of the, AKA Robin Hood Airport and once RAF Finningley, runway before commercial flights resume sometime in the future as the airport is currently closed. There was also a smaller 2.2k fun run event on offer suitable for parent to runwith children for a real family fun appeal and for a spooky twist (for Stranger Things fans) Vecna and Demigorgan were tail walking the 10k run! One to certainly watch out for in 2027 should the airport not Re-open. Eccleshill’s James Funnel found himself on the startline coerced by a friend and finished in zooming style in a brilliant time of 58:07, well done Jim!
