Opting for something a little nearer home this weekend, Gillian Jago opted to travel to the market town of Chesterfield in the Borough of Derbyshire. Accompanied by team mate Mike Farrell, both in training for the upcoming Lanzarote half marathon in early December. The task in hand though is hosted by Clowne Road Runners Club, the Clowne Half Marathon is an undulating course running from Clowne centre through the surrounding villages of Whaley, Elmton, Creswell and Whitwell before returning to Clowne. As previous years the start at The Arc, High Street and the finish of the race will be at the Clowne Community Centre. The club donate £1 from every entry to their 2022 charity, Alzheimer’s Research UK. *All finishers received a hoodie! Gill and Mike ran the race in tandem supporting each other round and finished in a fabulous time of 02:19:02 Well done!
