Eccleshill this year had 5 teams x 3 runners in this popular Summer relay hosted by Abbeyrunners. Each Team member completed an identical 2.7 mile lap in and around the beautiful Golden Acre Park. Cool, showery weather, was all but perfect for running, if a little muggy in parts. A steep uphill at the start and several short, sharp climbs and descents make the legs seem much longer than they are. Wooded areas laced with rocks, potholes and tree roots make for challenging conditions underfoot. In true Eccleshill style we hung around and spread out our usual picnic fayre. Rain finally set in as we headed for home after a a top team effort! The results were as follows:
